On July 1, 2004 we delivered our 1000th Bmax drive. Our drives can be found throughout the world including Dubai , Australia , Iceland , Tahiti, all over the United States , Central and South America and the Caribbean . They are in many different applications from gas to diesel, in pleasure boats, work boats, high speed boats and military craft. Our Bmax drive and Stage II Transom Assembly were designed to give our customers the best performance available as well as durability and longevity in environments where equipment is pushed to the limits.

We offer a warranty on our product that is second to none in the marine industry as far as horsepower and torque limits are concerned. And our patented water cooling for the Bmax makes it the only drive in the world that is internally water cooled.

The gears and shafts of the Bmax are made exclusively by us for our own drive. We do not buy someone else's and make them work, we have our own. The housing of the Bmax and Stage II Transom Assembly are cast and machined by us also for our exclusive use.

The Bmax HT

When the Bravo Shop manufactured their 1000th Bmax drive in July 2004 they decided it was time to raise the bar for the performance sterndrive industry. After much success with the Bmax drive and Stage II Transom Assembly they did some retooling and refitting and created the Bmax HT sterndrive. The HT puts the emphasis on High Torque. The Bravo Shop’s experience with their clientele has shown that today’s performance boater requires equipment that will withstand more torque and horsepower than in the past. As engine builders continued to up the ante with larger more robust gas engines, and with the growing popularity of diesel engines, there was a need to create a sterndrive to stand up to this power. So the Bravo Shop went into test mode, compiled the research, and manufactured the necessary items to create the Bmax HT.

PRODUCT LINES

The Bmax HT:

The Bmax HT takes all of the internal components used in its predecessor, the Bmax, and kicks it up a notch. There are bigger shafts, stronger materials, and even different heat treating and shot peening processes. The Bmax HT also has the patented internal water cooling but with more capacity than the previous drive. All of these state of the art items result in a drive that will fit the bill for most any high performance application.

The Bmax HT also offers more in the warranty department. This new drive is rated at 950 hp and 950 ft lbs torque in a gas application. The diesel application is rated at 480 hp and 950 ft lbs torque. The one year limited warranty for these figures is based on boats that weigh 15,000 lbs or less. There is an additional two year extended warranty available for purchase for a total warranty period of three years.

The Bmax HT is readily available and comes in gear ratios of 1.11, 1.19, and 1.30. Each drive is custom made to order in either standard length or 2 inch short version using the Bravo Shop’s own crescent shaped lower for optimum hydrodynamic flow. The Bmax HT does not require a transmission as most drives withstanding this much horsepower usually do.

Bmax HT II:

The Bmax HT II was designed for the workboat diesel market. It is recently a drive of choice for several US Military branches including the Navy. This drive encompasses all of the components and strength of the standard Bmax HT but with a larger lower unit and the ability to turn up to a 21” propeller. These features and the many different gear ratio options ensure that the workboat operator will find the correct drive to work with his application. The Diesel series drives also come with one year warranty which applies to boats that weigh less than 15,000 lbs with less that 480 HP and 950 ft-lbs of torque or less.

Crescent Lower

The Bravo Shop’s crescent lower maximizes hydrodynamic flow. In production testing the crescent lower produced an average increase of 3 mph over the stock lowers. The lower is available in a standard length or 2 inch short version and comes standard with the Bmax HT drive. The case itself can also be retrofit to work with other Bravo style drives.
